How can a Filter protect me from sludge?

How can I protect the system?
To protect your heating system once its clean you should...

2. Add chemical inhibitor (MC1+®) to the system
While a magnetic filter captures sludge that's suspended in the water before it gets into the boiler, a chemical inhibitor like MC1+® can help prevent sludge building up in the first place.
Corrosion occurs naturally and can't be stopped completely, but MC1+® coats the metals in your heating system to reduce contact with the water. This slows down the corrosion rate, so sludge takes much longer to create.
How does a system flush work?
When you've got a lot of sludge in your system, there's no point in adding protection until you've got it all out.
A MagnaCleanse® system flush is a quick, gentle and very effective way of removing sludge build-up from the system, so it's perfect for systems of all ages.
It connects onto your pipework and uses your boiler to push your heating system water past two large, powerful magnets. We might use a VibraClean® agitator on your radiators to help lift the toughest sludge and get it into the magnet pots ready to be removed from the system.
